Simply stated, we are an independent, Bible believing Baptist church. We are located in the Metro Detroit suburb of Troy, Michigan.
- We firmly believe that God has given us His words in a real, physical book from which we can read, memorize, preach, study, and on which we can meditate. These words are given by inspiration of God and are therefore without error. These words have been supernaturally preserved by God through the years and can today be found in the most universal language, English, in the King James translation. These words are our final authority on all of the matters of life which it addresses.
- We firmly believe that while on the earth, the Lord Jesus Christ established a church. This church was and is a visible, local body of baptized believers who are called out of the world and charged with preaching the gospel, teaching and observing biblical doctrine, and glorifying the Lord God. Only these local, New Testament churches have the right or authority to baptize, ordain, and administer the Lord's Supper to its individual members. Each church is independent and autonomous answering only to its head, Jesus Christ. These churches have been called by many names throughout the years; today they are generally referred to as Baptists.
- We firmly believe man's greatest problem is sin. He is born in sin, and this puts him under the wrath and condemnation of God. Man is totally unable to do anything to save himself, but God, through the sacrificial death and atoning blood of Jesus Christ, has graciously provided a way to escape His wrath and the eternal penalty of sin--the Lake of Fire. All men are commanded to repent, and must believe on Jesus Christ as the only way to be made right with God. Salvation is a free gift and brings with it many blessings--chiefly eternal life.
- We firmly believe that Jesus Christ will soon return to catch up all believers, living and dead, after which will be seven years of tribulation on the earth. This will be followed by 1,000 literal years of peace as Jesus Christ returns physically to the earth to rule and reign.
This is by no means an exhaustive statement of faith, but it should be sufficient to inform the reader as to our basic beliefs. We welcome any questions about our doctrine and practice.
